The Control Version of the Metalbone Family
The adidas Metalbone CTRL 2026 brings the technology of the Metalbone line into a round-shaped racket built for precision. It is aimed at professional-level and advanced players who build points with placement, consistency and tactical patience, and it is the racket used on the pro tour by Lorena Rufo. With a 38 mm profile and a 345-360 g base weight, it offers the stability of a top-range racket in a more manageable, forgiving format.
Round Shape and Centred Sweet Spot
The round head and medium balance keep the sweet spot in the centre of the face, close to where the arm naturally looks for the ball. That makes blocks, lobs, wall exits and low volleys more reliable, and the racket feels quick in fast net exchanges. Power on the smash comes from technique rather than head weight, which suits players who prefer to direct the game instead of overpowering opponents.
Carbon Aluminized 16K with EVA Soft Performance
The faces are made of Carbon Aluminized 16K, a stiff, durable fibre that delivers a direct response, while the EVA Soft Performance core adds comfort and makes it easier to get the ball out on slower shots. The 100% carbon frame features adidas' Octagonal Structure and Low Poly design to reduce torsion and increase rigidity, and the Power Groove rail in the profile adds further structural stiffness. A rough Spin Blade finish helps grip the ball on bandejas and cut shots.
Weight & Balance System
The improved Metalbone Weight & Balance System lets you add up to 11.2 g using removable screws, washers and plates, so you can shift the balance toward the head for extra punch or keep it lighter for maximum handling. The longer Power Extra Grip handle increases inertia in the swing when you do decide to attack.
